Producer’s notes
Spring frost hit the white grapes hard but largely spared the reds, and a rainy spring and July kept the team busy protecting the vines. August and early September then turned very dry. When rain returned in September, the château chose to wait for full ripeness: the Merlot was picked on 24 September and the Cabernet from 4 to 13 October. The château reports concentration close to that of warmer years, extracted gently, in a wine that pairs elegance with density. This wine is 36% of the estate’s production.
