Producer’s notes
The château describes a refined, layered nose of real depth, and a palate that is ample yet soft, with a very long finish. After a wet winter the summer was dry and sunny; the older vines coped well, and cool nights with dry days in September brought the grapes to full ripeness over a harvest of nearly four weeks. Only 28% of the crop went into this wine. It kept enough acidity to age for a very long time, and the château ranks 2016 among the best vintages of the century so far.
