M. Chapoutier
M. Chapoutier is a Rhône house based in Tain l'Hermitage, at the foot of the Hermitage hill. Its history goes back to 1808. Michel Chapoutier became head of the company in 1990, and biodynamics has been at the heart of its approach since 1991. He made the first single vineyard selections, or Sélections Parcellaires, in 1989.

The Ermitage reds l'Ermite, Le Méal, Le Pavillon and Les Greffieux are Syrah. L'Ermite is at the top of the Hermitage hill.
