Producer’s notes

Dark in colour, deep in flavour and rich in texture. The winery describes aromas of sticky plum jam and spicy nutmeg, a palate of berries and mocha, and a very smooth, silky finish where elegant fruit lingers. In 2017 July rainfall was 31% above normal and cold, wet weather lasted into early summer, delaying budburst and flowering; open canopies and ideal summer temperatures kept the grapes healthy, and the winery counts it among its biggest and most successful vintages.
