Producer’s notes
The winery describes the dried herbs and roasted red meat it finds typical of Vine Hill Ranch, with sage, basil and fennel, black fruit on the palate, a fine texture and balance, and a long, silky finish. After good spring moisture, 2019 was dry and sunny; steady temperatures kept freshness, and a long hang time brought colour, structure and soft tannins from a lighter set of concentrated clusters. The winery rates it an outstanding Napa Valley vintage, with accessible wines that will age well. Bottled without fining or filtration.
