The winery finds a very opaque crimson colour of great depth, with nuanced berry and cassis aromas alongside tobacco, baking spices and vanilla. The palate opens round, with a solid core of fruit and blackberry, shows breadth and depth, and finishes on black liquorice with electric acidity and fine tannins. It suggests decanting because of heavy sediment, and says the wine can be enjoyed now and might reward a few more years of ageing.
