Producer’s notes
The winery describes muscular power paired with finesse: crème de cassis, redcurrant and smoky aromas, flavours of blackberry and plum compote with a crushed rock minerality, a silky texture and rich, tightly woven tannins. The 2011 harvest was extremely challenging in Napa Valley; the crop was cut back hard in the vineyard and then sorted berry by berry, and the small crop that remained was of remarkably high quality.
