Vérité La Joie 2016

Producer’s notes

The 2016 season again showed the importance of pruning. Moderate summer temperatures and cooler days in late August let the grapes ripen slowly, with less sugar and good acidity. The winery describes bold aromas of redcurrant, crunchy red plum and fresh pomegranate with mint, sage and clove; dried blackcurrant and raspberry on the palate, with savoury notes of pine needle, rhubarb, bay leaf and wet gravel; and supple, refined tannins, strong acidity and an elegant finish.
