Producer’s notes
Rich from the first sip, with black and blue fruit, above all blackcurrant and briar berries, then loamy soil, sweet tobacco, exotic incense and forest floor, and a long, expansive finish. The winery calls it very complex and beautifully balanced. The 2014 season was temperate, with long, moderate days and cool, clear nights after a warm spring and early budbreak; steady, dry weather gave small berries of great concentration, with yields slightly below those of 2013.
