Producer’s notes
The winery describes a deliciously concentrated wine with a seamless entry, great balance, the tannins it sees as the signature of Caldwell, and a lingering finish. The vineyard lies at 300 to 500 feet on rocky, gravelly loam, on a slope facing northwest; its founder John Caldwell says the elevation lets the site clear the morning fog first and escape frost, giving late ripening with good intensity and acidity. 275 cases were made.
