Producer’s notes
Winemaker Helen Turley’s note of September 1999: an intense, deep red purple colour, with hints of chocolate and black fruit on the nose. Young as it was, she found the wine forward and well integrated, with creamy, ripe fruit, big tannins, great concentration and a long, full finish. The grapes were fermented as whole berries with wild yeasts, and the wine was bottled unfined and unfiltered.
