Producer’s notes
Winter rainfall was close to normal, with heavy rain in November and December. May, June and August were moderate, but July and September were extremely hot, with six and eight days above 100°F. The harvest ran from 2 to 12 September. The estate describes a deep ruby colour, a spicy nose with light cassis notes, and a rich, fleshy wine with silky tannins. 4,200 cases were made, released in March 1988.
