Château Ducru-Beaucaillou 2020

To Order

Producer’s notes

A mild winter, 2.4°C above the thirty year average, brought early budbreak and flowering. The summer was hot and dry, with just enough rain late in the season, and a heat wave in the middle of September concentrated the fruit; cool nights and clear days marked the month. Picking began with the Merlot on 11 September and ended with the Cabernet Sauvignon on 30 September. The château calls its 2020 distinguished, elegant and aristocratic, with great depth of flavour, vibrant acidity and ripe, finely polished tannins, and likens it to 2010 with more concentration and density, underlined by the freshness typical of Ducru.
