Producer’s notes
The winery says 2019 gave the best conditions for full, healthy ripening: little spring rain, which kept disease away, and a gentle summer with a good difference between day and night temperatures, so the grapes ripened slowly and completely. The harvest ran from 21 September to 8 October, with up to eight passes through each vineyard. The grapes ferment with their own yeasts in open barriques, plot by plot, and each parcel ages separately for about 20 months before blending. Bibi Graetz calls the wine monumental and round in every respect, with elegance, freshness and fine acidity.
