Producer’s notes
A wet spring that lasted into the middle of April filled the soils with moisture, and flowering was delayed to June. Record heat in July kept the berries small and intense, and a long, mild autumn extended ripening while holding acidity. Picking of the Bordeaux varieties began on 21 September and the last Cabernet came in on 3 October. The estate describes rich aromas of ripe black cherry and currant, with graphite and floral tones of lavender and violet; intense ripe fruit on the palate, with massive but well integrated tannins; and a persistent finish of minerality and sweet tannin. 1,600 cases were made.
