Producer’s notes
Heavy rain in December and dry, mild weather in March brought early budbreak. Temperatures varied through the summer before a spell of real heat in early September, and cooler weather afterwards let the hillside and southern valley vineyards recover before the harvest. The winery describes forward, ripe aromas of dark cherry, plum and cassis with fennel, purple flowers and sweet tobacco, and broad, bright flavours of cherry, mulberry and redcurrant with tobacco and graham cracker. The grapes come from valley floor, hillside and mountain vineyards.
