Producer’s notes
Heavy rain in December and dry, mild weather through March brought early budbreak. Summer was steady until a spike of heat in early September, and cooler weather afterwards let the hillside and southern valley vineyards recover. The winery describes fresh aromas of blackberry, boysenberry and redcurrant with nutmeg, violet and fig, and bright, bold flavours of blackberry and dark cherry with dark earth, anise and mocha. The grapes come from Atlas Peak and Spring Mountain, from hillsides in Rutherford and from the valley floor in Oak Knoll.
