Producer’s notes
Powerful blackberry, blueberry, plum and blackcurrant fruit, with nuances of chocolate, Asian spice, lavender and rose petal. The winery describes a seductive texture in which every element stays woven together to the end of the finish. A late budbreak, a brief heat spike in May and little rain put useful stress on the vines and delayed flowering by two weeks, and a warm, sunny, dry September ripened the fruit evenly. The winery expects the wine to age for more than 25 years.
