Domaine Trapet

Domaine Trapet is a Gevrey-Chambertin family domaine run by Jean-Louis Trapet, an early convert to biodynamics in the 1990s. Its Chambertin, from one of the largest holdings in the grand cru, is a classic of the appellation.

The domaine holds Chambertin, Latricières-Chambertin and Chapelle-Chambertin, along with Gevrey-Chambertin premier crus and a range of village wines, and through his wife's family Jean-Louis Trapet also makes wine in Alsace. The Burgundies are fine and long lived, with whole bunches used in some cuvées.
