Tesseron Estate
Tesseron Estate is the Napa Valley venture of the Tesseron family, owners of Château Pontet-Canet in Pauillac since 1975 and of a Cognac house founded in 1905. In January 2016 the family bought the Mount Veeder property of the actor Robin Williams, at the end of Wall Road. Its wine, Pym-Rae, takes its name from the middle names of his first two children.
About 18 of the property's more than 650 acres are planted, mainly to Cabernet Sauvignon with Cabernet Franc and Merlot, on steep and partly terraced slopes first planted in 1990 by Robert Craig. As at Pontet-Canet, the vines are farmed biodynamically, certified by Demeter in 2018, and they have been dry farmed since 2016, the first vintage.
