Tenuta di Biserno
Tenuta di Biserno began in 2001, when the brothers Piero and Lodovico Antinori, with their nephew Niccolò Marzichi Lenzi, now chief executive, saw the potential of the land at Bibbona, next to Bolgheri in the Upper Maremma. A parcel by parcel study led to three estates: Tenuta di Biserno, Campo di Sasso and Collemezzano.
Tenuta di Biserno, where it all began, covers about 40 hectares at 90 metres above sea level, on mainly alluvial and clay limestone soils planted to Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. Its production is split between Biserno, the estate's flagship, and Il Pino di Biserno.
