Sylvain Cathiard

Sylvain Cathiard is a small Vosne-Romanée domaine that rose to the very top under Sylvain Cathiard and his son Sébastien, who took over in 2011. Its tiny production and pure, perfumed style have made its wines among the most sought after in Burgundy, and older vintages also appear under the family name André Cathiard.

The domaine's jewel is a parcel of Romanée-Saint-Vivant, alongside the Vosne-Romanée premier crus Aux Malconsorts, Les Suchots, Aux Reignots and En Orveaux, and Nuits-Saint-Georges. Sébastien uses some whole bunches and a light hand with oak.
