Suenen

Suenen is a small grower estate in Cramant, in the Côte des Blancs. Aurélien Suenen took over the family vines from his father Daniel in 2009, at the age of 23, and farms about 3.2 hectares across the grand cru villages of Cramant, Chouilly and Oiry, with a small plot of Pinot Meunier at Montigny-sur-Vesle.

The wines are almost all Chardonnay, fermented with native yeasts in steel and oak, aged long on their lees and finished with little dosage. Alongside C. + C., a blend of Cramant and Chouilly, single vineyard wines come from Le Mont-Aigu in Chouilly, Les Robarts in Cramant and La Cocluette in Oiry, where the vines were planted in 1925.
