Domaine Roulot
Domaine Roulot was taken over in 1989 by Jean-Marc Roulot, who is also a stage and film actor, and he has made it one of the most admired white Burgundy estates. The Roulots were pioneers in bottling Meursault village wines by named site, and today the wines are among the hardest whites in Burgundy to buy.
Roulot farms organically, with the premier crus Perrières, Charmes, Porusot and Clos des Bouchères, and village sites such as Les Tessons, Les Luchets and Les Clous, each bottled separately to show its character. The whites are lean, mineral and precise, with restrained oak.
