Domaine Ramonet
Domaine Ramonet is the great family name of Chassagne-Montrachet, founded by Pierre Ramonet in the 1920s and run by his grandsons Noël and Jean-Claude. Its Montrachet is legendary, and its Chassagne premier crus, above all Les Ruchottes, are benchmarks for the village.
Ramonet holds grand crus in Montrachet, Bâtard-Montrachet and Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet, and the premier crus Les Ruchottes, Morgeot, Les Caillerets and Les Vergers, as well as red Chassagne. The style is traditional, with modest new oak, and the whites are famous for ageing gracefully.
