Piper-Heidsieck
Piper-Heidsieck, founded in Reims in 1785 by Florens-Louis Heidsieck, who presented a Champagne to Queen Marie Antoinette, is one of the oldest Champagne houses. It has long been linked with cinema and is the official Champagne of the Cannes Film Festival.
The house style is fresh and fruity, led by Pinot Noir. Its vintage Brut Millésimé is made only in good years from the best crus, and its long aged Rare, born at Piper-Heidsieck, became a separate house.
