Pascal Marchand
Pascal Marchand, born in Québec, came to Burgundy in the 1980s and made his name as winemaker at the Comte Armand in Pommard and then at the Domaine de la Vougeraie. In 2006 he founded his own négociant house, Marchand-Tawse, with his Canadian partner Moray Tawse.
Marchand makes wines from across the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune, many from parcels farmed organically or biodynamically, with grand crus including Clos de la Roche, Chambertin, Bonnes Mares and Clos Vougeot. The style is fine and expressive of each site.
