Nicolas Potel
Nicolas Potel, son of Gérard Potel of the Domaine de la Pousse d'Or, founded his négociant house in 1997 and became known for buying fine parcels from growers across the Côte d'Or. He left the house in 2009 to found Maison Roche de Bellene, so bottles from his years there are increasingly sought after.
The house made wines from many of Burgundy's great appellations, including grand crus such as Chambertin, Bonnes Mares and Clos Vougeot, working closely with growers in the vineyard and making the wines in a fresh, fruit forward style.
