Méo-Camuzet
Méo-Camuzet is a leading Vosne-Romanée domaine whose story is bound up with Henri Jayer, who farmed part of its vines for decades and mentored Jean-Nicolas Méo when he took over in the 1980s. Its Cros Parantoux, the premier cru Jayer made famous, and its Richebourg are among Burgundy's most coveted wines.
The domaine holds Richebourg, a prime parcel of Clos Vougeot beside the château, Corton and Échezeaux, the Vosne premier crus Cros Parantoux, Aux Brûlées and Les Chaumes, and Nuits-Saint-Georges. Jean-Nicolas follows Jayer's methods: destemmed fruit, a cool maceration before fermentation and generous new oak, for rich, polished wines.
