Marcassin

Marcassin is the Sonoma Coast estate of Helen Turley and her husband John Wetlaufer. Turley, one of the most influential winemakers in California, made her name with wines for many of Napa's cult estates, and Marcassin's own Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are among the rarest wines in America, sold only to a long standing mailing list.

The Marcassin Vineyard lies on a ridge close to the Pacific on the extreme Sonoma Coast, where cool, foggy conditions and very low yields give Chardonnay of extraordinary richness and depth. The wines are made with native yeasts and bottled without filtration, and they are released only once Turley judges them ready.
