Michel and Frédéric Magnien
Frédéric Magnien runs two houses in Morey-Saint-Denis: his family's Domaine Michel Magnien, farmed biodynamically, and Maison Frédéric Magnien, his négociant label, which works with growers across the Côte de Nuits. Both are known for wines that express their sites.
The domaine holds Clos de la Roche, Clos Saint-Denis and Charmes-Chambertin, and matures part of its wines in clay jars as well as oak. The Maison makes wines from grand crus such as Bonnes Mares and Richebourg, from grapes bought under long term contracts.
