Domaine Leflaive
Domaine Leflaive is the reference estate of Puligny-Montrachet. Anne-Claude Leflaive, who ran it from 1990 until her death in 2015, converted it fully to biodynamics, making it a pioneer among Burgundy's great white wine estates. Its Montrachet, Chevalier-Montrachet and Bâtard-Montrachet are among the most prized white wines in the world.
Leflaive farms grand cru parcels in Montrachet, Chevalier, Bâtard and Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet, and the premier crus Les Pucelles, Les Combettes, Les Folatières and Clavoillon, where it owns most of the vineyard. The wines are fermented and matured in oak, then finished in steel, for whites of precision and depth that age for decades.
