Jean-François Ganevat

Jean-François Ganevat, who trained at Domaine Jean-Marc Morey in Burgundy, returned to his family's vines in Rotalier in the southern Jura in 1998 and became one of the cult names of natural wine. Robert Parker awarded his Chardonnay Les Vignes de mon Père 2005 100 points.

The domaine farms biodynamically and makes dozens of small cuvées, each from a single parcel or old variety, many with little or no added sulphur. Its Chardonnays, such as Les Grands Teppes Vieilles Vignes, mature in topped up barrels in the Burgundian way and are prized for their depth and precision.
