Domaine Georges Roumier
Domaine Georges Roumier is the most sought after domaine in Chambolle-Musigny, led for more than three decades by Christophe Roumier. Its Musigny, from about a tenth of a hectare, is one of the rarest wines in Burgundy, and its Bonnes Mares and Les Amoureuses are collected worldwide.
Roumier farms around 12 hectares, with Bonnes Mares on both its red and white soils, Musigny, Les Amoureuses, Les Cras and Chambolle-Musigny village, along with Charmes-Chambertin Aux Mazoyères and Ruchottes-Chambertin. Christophe uses a share of whole bunches depending on the vintage and little new oak, for wines of purity and tension that need years in bottle.
