Faiveley

Faiveley was founded in Nuits-Saint-Georges in 1825 by Pierre Faiveley and is run today by the seventh generation, Erwan Faiveley, who took over in 2005, with his sister Eve. With 125 hectares of vines, it is one of Burgundy's largest vineyard owners.

Its Corton Clos des Cortons Faiveley is a monopole of just over three hectares high on the hill of Corton, bought in 1874. Les Ouvrées Rodin, a parcel of 0.33 hectares of 60 year old vines in Chambertin-Clos de Bèze, is named after Auguste Rodin: Maurice Fenaille, the uncle of the family's great-grandmother Marthe, was the sculptor's patron, and a bronze of Rodin's The Kiss stands at the domaine.
