Domaine Leroy
Domaine Leroy was founded in 1988 by Lalou Bize-Leroy, who for many years shared the management of the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, and has been farmed biodynamically from the start. Its tiny yields and intense wines make it one of the most expensive names in Burgundy, and Robert Parker awarded the Latricières-Chambertin 1991 100 points. The family's négociant house, Maison Leroy, holds one of Burgundy's deepest stocks of old vintages.
The domaine was built on the vineyards of Domaine Charles Noëllat in Vosne-Romanée and now spans grand crus from Chambertin and Musigny to Richebourg, Romanée-Saint-Vivant and Corton-Renardes, with premier crus such as Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Boudots. Yields are kept extremely low, many cuvées are made from whole bunches, and every wine is bottled with minimal handling.
