Domaine Jacques Prieur

Domaine Jacques Prieur in Meursault traces its roots to Claude Duvergey, who bought the Les Herbeux property in Meursault in 1879. The estate took the name of his heir, Jacques Prieur, in 1956. In 1988 five French families, the Labruyères among them, joined to keep it in French hands; the Labruyère family runs it today with the support of the Prieur heirs, and Nadine Gublin has been its oenologist since 1990.

Its 21 hectares hold nine Grands Crus, almost a third of Burgundy's Grand Cru appellations: Montrachet, Chevalier-Montrachet, Corton-Charlemagne, Corton-Bressandes, Echézeaux, Clos Vougeot, Musigny, Chambertin and Chambertin-Clos de Bèze, alongside 14 Premiers Crus such as Meursault Perrières and Volnay Clos des Santenots.
