Domaine des Comtes Lafon

Domaine des Comtes Lafon is one of the great domaines of Meursault, transformed by Dominique Lafon from the 1980s and farmed biodynamically since the late 1990s. Its Montrachet and Meursault Perrières are among Burgundy's most celebrated whites. Dominique also makes wines under his own name from bought grapes, and the family has a Mâconnais estate, Les Héritiers du Comte Lafon.

The domaine holds Montrachet, the Meursault premier crus Perrières, Charmes, Genevrières and Goutte d'Or, Puligny-Montrachet Les Champs-Gain, and reds from Volnay, including Santenots-du-Milieu. Its deep, cold cellars allow long, slow fermentations and ageing, giving rich whites that age for decades.
