Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé

Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé is the great name of Musigny. The de Vogüé family has owned the domaine in Chambolle-Musigny for centuries and holds about seven of Musigny's 10.86 hectares, by far the largest share, and it is the only producer of the rare white Musigny. Its Musigny Cuvée Vieilles Vignes is one of Burgundy's most revered wines.

Besides Musigny, the domaine makes Bonnes Mares, Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses, a Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru from its younger Musigny vines, and a Chambolle-Musigny village. The wines are dense and long lived, often needing a decade or more to open, and the Vieilles Vignes cuvée is made only from vines more than 25 years old.
