Coche-Dury
Coche-Dury is the small Meursault domaine that Jean-François Coche-Dury made the most sought after white Burgundy producer in the world, and his son Raphaël now runs it in the same style. Its Corton-Charlemagne, from a tiny parcel, is among the most expensive white wines anywhere, and even the village Meursault is fiercely allocated.
The domaine makes Meursault Perrières and other premier crus, village Meursault from named sites and the Corton-Charlemagne, along with reds from Volnay, Auxey-Duresses and Monthélie. The whites are known for their tension and for the struck match notes that come from long lees ageing, and they reward long cellaring.
