Château La Gaffelière

Château La Gaffelière is a Premier Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Émilion, owned by the Malet Roquefort family for more than three centuries. A Gallo-Roman mosaic of vines was found on the estate, a sign that wine was made here in Roman times.

The vineyard lies on clay and limestone slopes below Château Ausone and Château Pavie, with a high share of Cabernet Franc, and in recent years the style has become fresher and more precise. The second wine is Clos La Gaffelière.
