Château Haut-Bailly
Château Haut-Bailly is a Classified Growth of Graves in Pessac-Léognan, owned since 1998 by the family of the American banker Robert G. Wilmers and run by Véronique Sanders. Robert Parker awarded the 2009 100 points, and the estate is prized for its silky, refined style.
The 30 hectare vineyard lies in a single block on gravel and includes about four hectares of vines more than 100 years old, a field blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot that is still harvested together. A new winery opened in 2021, and the second wine is Haut-Bailly II.
