Camille Giroud

Camille Giroud is a Beaune négociant house founded in 1865 by Camille Giroud. His son Lucien, and then Lucien's sons Bernard and François, built its name on wines bought after fermentation and aged for years in cask and bottle before release, which made Giroud a known source of mature Burgundy.

In 2002 the brothers sold the house to a group that included Ann Colgin and her husband Joe Wender, with Becky Wasserman as managing director and David Croix as winemaker. The new team moved to a modern, quality-focused approach: fully destemmed fruit, a hand-operated wooden press from before 1920, careful use of oak and as little racking as possible.
