Aurélien Lurquin
Aurélien Lurquin is a young grower in Romery, in the Marne Valley, whose grandfather was a winemaker at Lanson. He trained in Burgundy, holds a doctorate in oenology, and since 2013 has made natural Champagnes and still wines in tiny quantities.
He farms about 2.3 hectares in 15 plots, certified organic and biodynamic since 2012 and ploughed by horse. The grapes ferment spontaneously and mature in oak, and the wines are bottled without filtration or dosage. Besides Champagne he makes still Coteaux Champenois such as Les Milieux.
