Anakota

Anakota is a Jackson Family Wines estate in Knights Valley, at the northern edge of Napa in Sonoma County, making single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from two volcanic hillside sites, Helena Dakota and Helena Montana.

The vineyards lie on rocky volcanic soils below Mount St. Helena, where warm days and cool nights give Cabernet of dark fruit and firm structure. Each vineyard is bottled on its own, so the two wines show how much a single valley can vary.
