Producer’s notes

The estate calls 2008 a classic vintage: a rainy spring, then a favourable summer that ripened the grapes excellently, with a rare balance of acidity and tannin. The grapes were picked between 6 and 8 October and fermented with their own yeasts in open steel tanks. The estate describes an intense garnet colour with orange reflections; dried roses and aromatic herbs, with strawberry jam, dried fruit and spice; and a warm, enveloping palate of excellent harmony, with evolved hints of vanilla and liquorice on the finish.
