Producer’s notes
A mild, wet winter refilled the soils after a dry 2022. Growth began well in early April and spring was mild, with flowering in late May, five days ahead of the average; June was the hottest since the estate’s records began in 1962. Two very hot spells came in late August and early September, the second marking the start of picking, which ran from 29 August to 6 September. The wine is pale yellow with green highlights. The nose is intense, opening with citrus and white fruit, then tropical fruit, mineral notes and white pepper. The palate starts fresh and zesty, with lemon and spice, then turns smoother and creamier, with pastry, feijoa and apricot, and toasted notes on the finish.
