Producer’s notes
An exceptionally early vintage and, for the vine grower, a very easy one: flowering, colour change and ripening all took place in perfect weather, particularly hot and dry, and not a single day of rain fell during the harvest. The château describes a wine of richness, complexity and opulence that was enjoyable from the day it was made, because the exceptional ripeness of the grapes gave the tannins a smoothness that usually comes only with long ageing.
