Producer’s notes
A mild winter brought budburst as early as 1 March, and the frost of 7 April spared most of the vineyard. Spring was cool, with heavy rain in May and June, though flowering went well. August was warm and dry with cool nights, and the harvest, from 3 to 10 September, took place in ideal conditions, with grapes the château rates extraordinary in ripeness and aroma. It describes a colour between yellow and pale green, a very concentrated, fruity nose with lime, and a palate that is full and clear cut, then fleshy, deep and smooth through to the finish. It calls 2021 a surprising year.
