Abreu describes Rothwell Hyde as an expression of the house and not of a single vineyard: the fruit comes from Madrona Ranch and Cappella, two properties barely a quarter of a mile apart on the western edge of St. Helena, blended both at harvest, by fermenting together, and later in the winery. David Abreu calls it everything they do in one bottle.
